Savoury Mushroom Protein Pancakes – Topped with Ham and Cheese

Making savoury protein pancakes is really simple and they’re great as a substitute for bread or just as a fun alternative to savoury blinis. You can top them with anything you want too! Ham, cheese, salmon, cream cheese, spread, veggies… the sky is the limit! Have fun with this recipe.

Ingredients

1/2 cup egg whites
1/4 cup pea protein powder (unflavoured)
1 cup mushrooms
1 teaspoon sea salt
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg and coriander (you can sub this with any herb actually – e.g. tarragon, rosemary)

Directions

1. Blended together.

2. Fry on a non-stick pan as small pancakes.

3. Top with your toppings of choice!

Macros per all 3 pancakes (the mix above yields 3 pancakes; remember, though, that you COULD always just make a giant one and fold it over too):

  1. Hello! I have a small question that might make me sound kinda dumb…What does “kcals” mean??? I tried googling it and found answers saying that 1kcals = 1,000 calories! Is this correct???

    Thaaaaaanks!
