Although Twinkies are traditionally ‘blonde’, I believe chocolate Twinkies do exist? Either way, vanilla Twinkies are next on the list, not because I am a purist but because I like the idea of biting into a soft vanilla cake only to be met with an EXPLOSION of creammmmmmy chocolate too! Anyways, THESE were not only ludicrously delicious but also ludicrously easy and fun to make! It all began when I thought, ‘after your workout, wouldn’t it be great to have numerous Twinkies?’ -> It didn’t take long for me to settle on HELL YEAH :-D
170g cooked sweet potato
85g Total 0% Greek Yogurt
10g psyllium husks
155g liquid egg whites
22g cocoa powder
67g chocolate hemp protein powder
1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
20g vanilla casein protein
1. Blend sweet potato, greek yogurt, psyllium husks, egg whites, cocoa powder, hemp protein powder, cream of tartar, and baking soda.
2. Bake mixture at 170 celsius for 20 minutes.
3. Mix vanilla casein powder with coconut milk until it’s creamy for the filling.
4. Use a chopstick to puncture the twinkie as pictured below and use a bag with a hole in it to fill it up with the filling.
Though you COULD use whey or even pea protein for the filling, casein is fantastic for a job like this because of its smooth creaminess, nommm!!

It could be argued that these are the PERFECT (pre-bed, because of the casein?) snack, easy as they are to carry, low cal, high protein and boom boom boom, oh so delicious!!!! The cake bit is really soft and then, oh! then you get to the vanilla and kabooooom!!!!!
