Turkey Burrito on High Protein Tortillas

Turkey Burrito on High Protein Tortillas

Welcome to a recipe for high protein tortillas, or tortilla wraps. This recipe is really versatile in the sense that you can spice your tortillas as you wish and add any herbs you like to them! For example, if you want high protein tortillas with basil, all you need to do is add a bit of dried basil. Or parsley. Or garlic granules. Or rosemary. Or paprika! The sky is the limit to what you can flavour them with and, of course, what you can fill them with!

Ingredients (makes 4 tortilla wraps)

190 grams of liquid egg whites
15 grams of psyllium husks
5 grams of wheat bran
1 teaspoon mustard
1/2 tablespoon tomato pure
1 tsp paprika and green Chile powder (optional but delicious!)

Directions

1. To make your tortilla, all you need to do is blend all your ingredients together until you get a runny batter.

2. Add some oil or butter to a non-stick pan, get the pan really hot, and spoon your tortilla mix on top.Flip your tortilla when one side has cooked, take it off the heat, and stuff with your filling of choice!

  1. Add some actual green chile if you have it handy!!! Also, you can blitz the roasted red pepper with the milk+spices in the blender and add THAT to the cooking turkey+onions so it’s all really creamy 🙂

  2. These look incredible! I browsed through your blog and recipes and you have some awesome recipes and ideas! I’m totally making as many of these protein creations as I can. 🙂
    Very creative!
