Protein Banoffee Pancakes – by Elka H.
I created these protein banoffee pancakes because my favourite dessert is banoffee pie. I thought these would be great to eat postworkout due to its carb and protein content and it satisfies my sweet tooth for the rest of the day!
Ingredients:
1 medium banana
2 eggs
1 egg white
1/2 cup gluten free oats
2 scoops of now foods whey protein
Isolate – toffee caramel fudge
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Directions:
Blend the above and fry on a hot non stick pan. Makes about 8-9 pancakes.
Caramel sauce:
Heat up a pan and mix 2 tablepoons of almond butter and one tablespoon honey. Pour this in between pancakes.
Cream:
Mix 250g of 0% fage greek yoghurt with half a scoop of now foods toffee caramel fudge and add 10-15 drops of stevita toffee drops.
Layer this between pancakes.
Cut one banana into slices and layer it between pancakes.
Throw 2 crushed walnuts on top of the pancakes!
