Pumpkin Seed & Dark Chocolate Protein Bars

This is a great recipe to showcase what you guys can do with our Protein Pow Cooking Mixes. Basically, you can grab the ingredients in the back of the pack and do all KINDS of things with them! Like play around with your nut butters, flavors, and coatings. Here, for instance, I used pumpkin seed butter to bind my bars. And instead of milk or water to bind them further, I added some freshly brewed espresso! Here goes:

20g Whey Protein Pow Cooking Mix
12g agave syrup
13g cocoa powder
16g pumpkin seed butter
Splash of coffee (no more than a couple of teaspoons)


1. Mix all ingredients together in a bowl using your hands.

2. Shape into two bars.

3. Once they’re shaped, you can either refrigerate them so they set a bit further OR you can melt some dark chocolate (no more than 10g per bar) and dunk your bars in there before placing them on an alumium foil-lined tray in the fridge for the dark chocolate coating to set (pictured here are both bars – naked and coated).

It’s THAT simple to make your own delicious protein bars! Why buy ready made bars when you can make things like this, you know? Using fresh ingredients and absolutely no junk whatsoever? Like shelf-life extending ingredients or silly amounts of sodium designed to preserve bars months and months. Your body doesn’t need that! You know what I mean? Make your own bars. Play around with them. It’s not only fun and delicious to make these bars, they’re also by far the ‘cleanest’ (by which I mean junk-free) protein bars you’ll find ANYWHERE. Gluten-free. Artificial sweetener-free. No fillers. No randomness. Just great ingredients in protein bar form. What’s not to love?
